Chile come into the 2019 Copa América as holders after victories in the last two tournaments in 2015 and in 2016 and are searching for a third successive title, a fear not achieved since Argentina's treble in 1945,1946 and 1947. The Argentines have been runners-up to Chile in the last two editions of the tournament, losing on penalties to their neighbours after a goalless 120 minutes on both occasions.
Barça player
The blaugrana midfielder features in this fourth Copa América for Chile. On his debut in the competition he was part of the team that lost to Argentina in the quarter-finals back in 2011, taking his revenge as part of the 2015 and 2016 victorious squads. Vidal could come up against his Barça team mate Luis Suárez in Group C with Chile set to face Uruguay on 25 June.
