Born on 4 April, 2000 in Barcelona, Joel Parra López began his career with Club Joventut Badalona. After progressing through the youth teams with great success, Parra made his league debut for the first team in December 2017 in a game against Unicaja Málaga.
His physical presence, his ability to play outside and his rebounding and ever improving shooting led him to become a valuable member of the Joventut side. In the 2020/21 Parra consolidated his place in the first team squad with 39 appearances in the Endesa League and some eye catching performances.
In his final season with the Badalona based club Parra was one of the leaders in the team, standing out in defence and offense with an average of 9.6 points and 5.4 rebounds in the league and 12.8 points and 4 rebounds in the Eurocup.
